Devin Wilkins
Devin is a licensed architect with a background in economics, business, architecture, and real estate development. Drawing from his previous commercial experience designing and constructing Trophy Class Office buildings, he brings his expertise in concrete, steel, and glass design to the modern residential design process. As Studio Director, he excels at bridging the gap between creative design, strategic planning, and practical execution.
Devin began his career working in, and directly influencing, the DC urban fabric. Specializing in urban rehabilitation and existing building repositioning, he designed and constructed new state-of-the-art office buildings and recycled existing structures into thriving Trophy Class assets. He influenced over 2 million square feet of real estate in the Washington metropolitan area, from concept through construction, all of which are on display throughout DC’s most sought-after markets.
Devin transitioned to residential architecture as he became interested in exploring the built world on a micro level. His interest in exploring the architectural process at multiple scales is derivative of his economics background, where each topic is measured from every available perspective. For Devin, the residential design process offers the opportunity to shape space where every detail and decision is rooted back to the uniqueness of a specific individual or family. Now, he leverages his expertise gained as a trusted advisor to world-renowned commercial real estate developers to push the boundaries of modern-contemporary design.
As the Ralston Studio Director, he oversees the operational and strategic leadership of the firm, working closely with the Managing Principal on the planning and implementation of firmwide initiatives. Devin designs and implements each studio process, so they function smoothly, efficiently, and provide our clients with a 5-star experience. He coordinates with the Project Management team to ensure all Studio projects are delivered at the highest quality, on time, on budget, and in accordance with the firm’s design intent.
Devin recently completed a Certificate in Real Estate Development from Cornell University, to enhance his insights in the broad field of architecture. This certificate augments his multidisciplinary skillset and further supports his mission to lead luxury-residential architecture with Ralston, by creating spaces that reflect the vision, lifestyle, and personality of each client.
